Oak Burr is a wonderful native local timber, it has some lovely figuring and stabilised well
This wood came from an urban tree that was saved from the firewood pile just over 5 miles away from my workshop, it was milled, dried, stabilised and polished in house.
it should be noted that this is a very voidy timber, there are lots of natural fissures that will need to be filled with a resin of some description. I would recommend a UV resin
