Lacewood (Also known as London Plane) is a very unique tree on many counts, it is an excellent street tree, hence what you see it all over large cities, it is extremely pollution tolerant and it produces amazing wood.
Whilst it does tend to form Gall like growths, finding burr is actually quite unusual, and couple that with some spalting and you have some awesome timber
